Planned Giving

Securing the Future of the St. Andrew UCC Community of Faith

Simply stated, Planned Giving is a gift to the church that you designate in your lifetime, which benefits St. Andrew UCC after your death.  There are many ways to give, so call the church office and we will provide you with more detailed information.  Below are a few ways to consider:

Bequest by Will

Gifts may be set by percentage or set amount of one’s estate.  Making a will is a way to celebrate all God has given us.

An IRA can be a wise asset to use for a charitable bequest, as individual heirs might be heavily taxed on distributions received by inheritance.  The total tax event could result in the loss of up to 65% of the value of the assets.  By choosing St. Andrew as your beneficiary, you could pass along 100% of your IRA. During your lifetime, you may also use the mandatory distributions to fund a life-income gift, which entitles you to a charitable tax deduction if you itemize.

Life Insurance

St. Andrew United Church of Christ may be named as beneficiary on a present or new policy; or, St. Andrew UCC may be the owner of a policy.
