St. Andrew UCC members and friends are involved in many activities revolving around the life of the church, providing fellowship and promoting community awareness with our neighbors. Many of these activities are listed below.
Backpack Kids Program
We volunteer at the All Faiths Food Bank, stuffing backpacks to help feed hungry school children.
CROP Hunger Walk
Participants raise funds to end hunger in Sarasota and beyond, by collecting pledges and walking with other local churches on CROP Hunger Walk Sunday.
Every Sunday after worship, we gather for coffee, snacks, and fellowship.
Luncheons, Dinners, and Potlucks
In addition to celebrating major and minor holidays, we are apt to break the bread of fellowship for no particular reason at all!
Easter Egg Hunt
Our annual event is open to children of the community and held on church grounds.
The St. Andrew UCC family gathers for parties, informal suppers and dinners to celebrate holidays such as Halloween, Fourth of July, St. Patrick’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All are welcome
Study and Discussion Group
The Study and Discussion Group takes a close look at relevant and cutting-edge authors, theologians, and texts. Sometimes videos are included as well. Each session begins with prayer and reflection time.
St. Andrew UCC has so many talented people that we have turned part of Stewart Hall into an art gallery. Often, the artist will host an opening, with refreshments and a presentation about their work.
Monday Night at the Movies
We love to gather for “Monday Night at the Movies” in Stewart Hall, with movie snacks and refreshments!
No matter your age or physical ability, this class is for anyone. Check the calendar to see when it meets.
